سئل الشيخ المغامسي حفظه الله:
هل أوصاك أحد وصية انتفعت بها حول القرآن و تدبره وتفسيره ؟
فأجاب: لا أعلم وصية أوصاني بها أحد بالمعنى الحرفي الذي تريده،
ولكن ما وعظني أحد مثل رجل صلى ورائي في قباء وأنا لا أعرفه ،
وكان الله قد وفقني في الخطبة ، ثم أقبل الناس يسلمون محبة.
فقال لي: إن كانت سريرتك مثل علانيتك فهنيئاً لك .. ومضى.
فوالله ما وعظني أحد بأمثل من هذا.
